I spent the last 2 weeks in Thailand, on vacation from my India internship. Unlike the last time, when I was primarily in the north, this time I explored some of the islands in the south with a girlfriend I had met in Chiang Mai two months ago. It was a glorious two weeks filled with beach time, bonfires, reggae bars and delicious food. We visited Phuket, Ko Phi Phi and Ko Yao Noi on the Andaman side, and Ko Tao and Ko Phangan on the Gulf side. While most of the islands were pretty touristy, they did all have their share of pristine beaches and April being off-season, we didn’t have to face too many crowds. I still do think I prefer the north to the south. Without a doubt though, Thailand is one of the most beautiful and geographically diverse countries I’ve been to.
Here are some memories from the trip 🙂
